Neat & Tidy Warehouse, Easy Handling

Aramex has been providing comprehensive logistics and transportation services since 1982. From the logistics center in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, they handle a large volume of goods and generate a large volume of packaging waste.

As the business grew, Aramex was facing problems in handling the waste effectively: it required increased manpower, took more time, and resulted in increased handling costs. Keeping the warehouse neat and tidy was becoming an increasingly difficult task.

The results

Mil-tek provided Aramex with a Model 509 waste baler for cardboard and plastic waste. The baler has been installed at an optimal location inside the warehouse, allowing the waste to be baled at the point of generation. Waste handling has become more efficient, saving time, energy and manpower as well.

Aramex now sells the cardboard and plastic bales directly to a recycler and generating revenue on the waste. No extra space is occupied and it is easier to maintain a clean working environment in the warehouse.

Recycling is now possible with a reduced carbon footprint.
