The installation of Mil-tek balers in Carrefour’s busy stores has resulted in more cardboard and plastic waste being recycled. Furtermore, the quick and powerful air-powered balers allow staff at Carrefour to work faster during the busy stocking periods.
Better Waste Handling and Space Management at Carrefour
Carrefour is one of the most popular chains of supermarkets in the UAE, with over 24 stores nationwide. Some of the larger outlets like City Centre Sharjah, Mirdif Mall, Dubai Century mall and Fujairah Century mall, produce massive volumes of cardboard every day, meaning space and time is at a premium.
Mil-tek installed a Model 306HD baler in the main loading areas of the four busiest Carrefour stores. All the recyclable cardboard and plastic is now accumulated and baled, before being collected by recyclers.

The quick cycle of Mil-tek’s air-powered balers allows staff at Carrefour to work faster during the busy stocking periods, ensuring that waste does not build up during peak hours.
